This piece is special: it’s the literal culmination of my body of work, Rorschach Tests for How Much Fun You’re Having, in the sense that it has all 26 of the forms that comprise RTfHMFYH assembled together in one piece.
As a nod to the flexibility of interpretation that’s inherent in the Rorschach Test format, this piece can be displayed in multiple ways. Oriented with the shapes in descending order, it resembles a bouquet of my forms. Flipped 180 degrees, it more closely resembles the silhouette of a mountain.
Both of these depictions feel appropriate for a combination of shapes that were largely inspired by nature. I’ve made two runs of these 18×24” prints, and some colors of card stock shown in the pictures are now sold out.
A framed version of this piece is at Haymaker Bun Company for sale, and another version that’s floated on blue card stock is at the Generator in the south end of Burlington, Vermont, as a testament to the studio I was working in when I finished the Rorschach Tests for How Much Fun You’re Having.
