The title for this piece popped into my head while drawing (as they all do), and I was immediately struck by the multiple interpretations it implies. Is it a figure of speech describing the infamous & intractable protagonist of mythological lore? Or does it suggest an alternative trajectory, where icarus heeds the warnings & turns around, touching down on earth once again?
In support of this flexibility, this piece can be viewed in three different orientations, each of which offers a different perspective.
This piece also hung at the Lounge above Nectar’s for almost a year before their fateful closing. Framed prints are hinge mounted on acid-free foam core atop green or purple card stock in a white 14×18” or 16×20” frame, respectively, and will be shipped with ample packaging to arrive safely.
